If April Showers Bring May Flowers, What Do May Flowers Bring?
That's correct...Pilgrims. You get an "A".
It's that time of year, folks! The weather is warming up, the grass is greening up, and people are teeing up. I played my first 18 holes last Sunday, and without going into too much detail here, it was good. As much as I'd love to go into a shot-by-shot replay with you, President Caylor has ordered me to stop talking about it already...anyway, thanks to Jones/Bill Regnier, 3 Booths and my father for a fun afternoon!
I'd like to apologize to everyone who went broke at my Blackjack table on Game Night. For those of you who stuck it out 'til the end, I did manage to send some Funny Money back your way on the last hand. All told, I don't believe I saw anyone not enjoying themselves that night (other than Lyle, but I think he's going to take some Blackjack lessons from Jeff Miller, so he'll do better next year). Thanks to the Social Committee and all others who helped organize, take money, deal, bartend, auctioneer and otherwise lend a hand.
The Handicap Software has arrived, and I'll be testing it out this week. There is a pre-signup sheet at the Club for those of you who are interested. I don't have a lot of details as of right now, but I'll dig through it and come up with answers to any questions you may have. Thanks to John Jennings for donating the computer, and to Kirk for doing the legwork on with the software company.
Men's League, Ladies' Best Ball, Couples' Golf and a possible Women's League all begin this month, with the Annual Golf Kick-Off set for April 29th. The Kick-Off is open to the public, so bring a friend or 10!
A final, tear-filled note: Thank you Brian and Stan for every second of the time I got to spend with each of you. You are truly missed.
~Mark
