'Cause nothin' lasts forever, in the cold November rain...
...especially Calcutta results. I've lost them...sorry folks. I'm sure the winners know who they are, whether they remember playing or not!
One quick personal note: Thanks to all who attended the Annual Meeting. It was not a very large crowd, but those who were there expressed their opinions and really added to the meeting. I believe we have a wonderful club that is progressing, and it wouldn't be possible without the support of the entire membership. The Annual Meeting is the time to be heard, and I'm happy to see those in attendance take that opportunity. It would be nice to see a larger portion next year. (/soapbox)
The Chili Open was a huge event; we had 26 teams of 4 golfers each participate. I've heard several people say it was the most fun they've had on a golf course in a long time, and I agree. It was a looooooooooooong day for sure (I was beginning to wonder if my wife had left me, but she was still on the course), but I would much rather have it too busy than not get enough people in it. On, and in case you happen to be one of the lucky few I haven't told yet, I made a long putt from above the hole on #1 the first round, and chipped in from in front the second round for 2 eagles on #1. There, that should cover everyone...
I'll add my random names for the new building here:
The BK Lounge (sort of an addition to Dee's favorite)
The Waltoon Saloon
The "OH NO! I HOPE THERE'S NOBODY UP THERE" (best spoken from #2 tee)
Room 236 (a reference to the holes it adjoins - #2, #3 and #6)
