If you can't take the heat...
...quit hitting the ball down the left side on #5...there's no breeze down there!
One quick note about the upcoming "Parent/Child/Grandparent" Tournament: We call it the "Parent/Child/Grandparent" Tournament because the "Two People Who Are Somewhat Related, But From Different Generations" Tournament eats up too much printer ink (and they still refuse to call it the "Keeley/Swan Invitational"). I believe the original intent of this tournament was to promote youth golf, but has expanded to include plain old spending time with family on the golf course...something we don't always get to do. We're pretty lenient.
Thanks to all who participated in the Dick Heston Memorial Tournament...players, organizers, BK workers, bartenders, grillmasters, etc. There are so many people behind this thing that put forth a tremendous amount of effort for such a good cause; I'm not even going to attempt to name any names here because I know I would forget some, and I would hate to do something like that. It was a particularly warm day, but it was a fun one.
The original sign-up sheet for interest in Nite Golf was over 40 names long, but the final "Pay Up Front" sheet had exactly not very many names on it. We'll definitely try it again, so check the counter at the club for details.
Lastly, since I know not very many people read this, I think it's safe to post this here: This past June, I turned 35. This month, my lovely wife turns 30, and our 10th Anniversary is also in August. We are in the planning stages for a throw-together tournament, most likely on Sunday, August 27th. Details are slim at this point, but it will likely be a two- or three-person best shot, somewhere in the $5 per person range, with some specially themed "10-30-35" prizes. If you are interested or know someone who might be, let me know ASAP.
