New Year’s Eve Dinner & Party
Please join us to ring in the New Year at the Walton Club and the Van and The Movers!
• Seafood Buffet – 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Van & The Movers playing live – 8:30 p.m. to?
• We are offering a special selection of wine for the evening
• Free champagne at midnight
• Bring a midnight snack /dish to share after the kitchen closes at 9:00 p.m.
New Year’s Day
1. Hawkeye Bowl Party • Club opens at 9:00 a.m.
• Game Kickoff at 10:00 a.m.
• Chili and Potato soup will be provided
• Bring a snack/dish
2. Poker Tournament following the Hawkeye game.
• Come try your luck at a hand of poker!
OR
• Enjoy the afternoon watching the bowl games.
January 11th
31 Tournament @ 1:00 p.m.
• Please join us for a game of 31 and try to be the big winner.
• Entry fee $5
• Eat lunch prior to the tournament with our guest chef. Our guest chef will be providing a yummy lunch for all that RSVP at the bar.
January 24th
Afternoon of Board Games @ 1:30p.m.
• Bring your favorite board games and play with others.
• Bring the whole family to enjoy an afternoon of fun!
February 1st
Super Bowl & Annual Bowling Party• Sign up at the club – individually or as a team
• Cost $10 per person
• Super Bowl Party at Walton following bowling to watch the big game!
• Bring a snack for the Super Bowl Party

Notes From The Bridge...
WELCOME TO 2009! WE HOPE EVERYBODY HAD A GOOD HOLIDAY SEASON AND LET’S HOPE FOR A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
YOU WILL FIND THE 2009 DUES SCHEDULE ON THE BACK OF THESE NOTES AND ALSO ON OUR WEBSITE. DUES ARE DUE IN JANUARY. ANYBODY WANTING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE DISCOUNT ON GOLF DUES OR USE ONE OF OUR PAYMENT PLANS, MUST BE IN OR HAVE YOUR CHECK POSTMARKED BY 1/31.
SOCIAL
WE ARE HAVING A SOUP FEED 1/1 FOR THE HAWK BOWL GAME. PLEASE BRING A SNACK TO SHARE-GAME TIME IS 10 A.M. STEVE MILLER WILL RUN A POKER TOURNEY AFTER THE GAME.
THERE IS ANOTHER 31 TOURNEY 1/11 AT 1 P.M. ENTRY FEE IS $5. COME AND TRY YOUR LUCK.
WE’VE GOT A NEW ONE 1/24 AT 1:30 P.M. IT’S BOARD GAME DAY. BRING YOUR FAVORITE BOARD GAME AND CHALLENGE ALL COMERS. WE’RE ALSO GOING TO HAVE A WII VIDEO GAME ON HAND. IT SHOULD BE A GAS!
SUPER BOWL SUNDAY IS 2/1 AND WE ARE BOWLING AND PARTYING AGAIN.
THE SIGN-UP SHEET WILL BE OUT SOON. SIGN UP AS A TEAM OR INDIVIDUALLY-$10 A HEAD. WE’LL HAVE MORE DETAILS IN THE FEB. LETTER.
KITCHEN
WE HAVE A COUPLE THINGS HAPPENING THAT WE JUST WANT TO ALERT OUR MEMBERS ABOUT. THE KIWANIS WILL MEET HERE EACH WED. EVE. IN JAN. IT SHOULD’NT EFFECT KITCHEN SERVICE MUCH-IT’S A SMALL GROUP BUFFET.
THE COMMUNITY THEATRE COMES BACK TO WALTON 1/29-30-31 AND 2/6-7-8. FOUR OF THESE EVENINGS ARE DINNER THEATRES. I’M NOT SURE OF THE SEATING NUMBERS FOR THIS EVENT, BUT WILL TRY AND KEEP YOU INFORMED.
WE ARE BRINGING BACK GUEST COOK SUNDAYS THIS WINTER. ONE OF OUR MEMBERS WILL COOK A “SUNDAY DINNER” WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO THE CLUB. WE’LL SERVE 11:30-1:00 P.M AND YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION, WE’LL POST A MENU PRIOR TO EACH MEAL. VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME!
I AM CURRENTLY THE COOK. I APOLOGIZE FOR MY SLOWNESS BUT HOPE TO MAINTAIN THE QUALITY OF OUR FOOD. IF YOU KNOW ANYBODY QUALIFIED FOR THIS POSITION THAT NEEDS A JOB-SEND THEM TO ME IMMEDIATELY!
