The Walton Club recently integrated with the Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) and membership with the Iowa Golf Association (IGA). With this technology, Walton joins over 240 clubs in the state of Iowa and thousands of clubs in the world that have GHIN access.
The GHIN is a golf handicapping system that allows golfers to track their scores and create a handicap index, enabling golfers of varying abilities to play and compete on a fair and equal basis, regardless of how or where they play. Users can post scores from courses they play at to track their handicap, creating a more accurate representation of what they should score when they play at a certain course.
To participate in the Walton Club’s new handicapped tournaments and future season-long match play, golfers must have GHIN access. Additionally, the club hopes to fully integrate GHIN into the seasonal golf leagues. The annual cost of the GHIN membership is $25.00 per individual. The club’s Board of Directors is planning to incorporate this cost into the 2023 golf membership price. Members may register at the clubhouse, and will receive a confirmation email once they have been entered into the system. If you already have a GHIN profile, please notify us when you sign up.
